Smashing Pumpkins frontman rips Obama
Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan talked politics with CNN’s Piers Morgan on Wednesday’s show and said he’s been let down by President Barack Obama.
Asked if he’s “an Obama man at heart,” Corgan emphatically replied, “No.”
"Moral compass," the musician said when describing what he looks for in a leader. "And that's where I'm disappointed in the president, is he ran on a moral compass agenda. But, what happened? I'm sure there's lots of good reasons, and I'm sure they'll roll somebody out to counter thoughts like that. But I don't see it."
Fed up with pols on both sides of the aisle, Corgan explained, “I'm at the point now where I don't trust either political party. [And] I don't see a reasonable third party independent run from anybody who is rational and going to get there. …The choices we have are so compromised."
