New 911 calls released in Trayvon Martin case

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office has just released two 911 calls in the Trayvon Martin case. The first call is from Trayvon Martin’s father, Tracy. Tracy Martin calls the day after the shooting took place to file a missing persons report for Trayvon.  He did not know his son was already dead.

The second call is from dispatch following up on the call from Tracy Martin.

Willie Nelson 'appalled' at horse roundup

The federal government is using tax dollars to round up wild horses and burros in northern Nevada. These animals are being chased by helicopters for miles and miles through the heat until they are trapped. Sometimes the animals are starving and thirsty/ There is even video of helicopters hitting some animals.

The government says they are trying to protect these horses from drought. They told HLN that helicopters are a safe and practical way to take excess horses off the range.

What's Sandusky's side of the story?

The prosecution in the Sandusky child sex abuse trial called their final witnesses and now the defense has their turn to argue their side of the story. The defense called four character witnesses, including other former Penn State coaches. Some of these witnesses say they, too, have showered with adolescent boys.

Jane Velez-Mitchell spoke with former NHL hockey star, Theo Fleury, who was himself abused by a former coach for years.

The Zimmermans' secret talks disclosed

Audio recordings of George Zimmerman’s jail house conversations have now been released. Prosecutors say conversations between George and his wife Shellie Zimmerman show a plot to hide how much money they had ahead of his bail hearing.  Shellie was arrested on perjury charges last week. She is accused of speaking to her husband in code.
