A Green Frog (Rana clamitans) that I saw on 9/12/05 in a mostly dried-up creek in my neighborhood.  Unfortunately, I no longer see members of these species or bullfrogs in my area.  For #WildlifeWednesday curated by +Mike Spinak and +Morkel Erasmus and for #WholeWildlifeWeek curated by +Diego Cattaneo +Sandy Schepis +Dick Whitlock and +Matthias Haeussler and for #HQSPAnimals curated by +Joe Urbz and +Marina Versaci and for #AllThingsGreen curated by +Cicely Robin Laing

Watcha' Looking At?

It's #wildlifewednesday (+Mike Spinak & +Morkel Erasmus)  :)

Came across this little guy while out on a walk in the meadows.  I would guess he only around 1000 pounds - still had lots of growing to do.

Oh good!  Just wanted to make sure it arrived Joe!  : )  I use mine a lot when shooting knee deep in the ocean - the pockets come in handy!

While shooting in the other direction chasing Terns diving and Herons landing in the morning mist, I hear a splash off in the distance.  Just thinking a Pelican landed or birds fighting for territory now that more are arriving at the Marsh, I didn't really bother.

Until.....I heard the low growl.

I turn around and about 20 feet in front of me is this bobcat with a (I think) fresh breakfast of a good sized Green Heron.

The shot suffers from really low light and mist, but with a little Topaz to clean up I am calling it an acceptable picture :)
