Is everything from the newspaper on the Web site?

Most, but not all, of the newspaper’s content is available on the site. In some cases it may not be in the same place you’d find it in the newspaper. For example, there are no online versions of the Zest and Preview sections of the newspaper, but you’ll find most of the features from those sections in the Entertainment area of the site.

Some content from the newspaper, particularly developing news, may be updated on the Web site and no longer reflect what you see in the paper. There also are some newspaper features, such as New York Times columns, that we do not have the rights to publish online.

In general, the site is not intended to be an online version of the newspaper. There is newspaper content you cannot get on chron.com and chron.com content you cannot get in the newspaper.

You can access an exact replica of the daily and Sunday Chronicle through our e-Edition.

How can I find a particular article on the site?

Use the search tool that is at the top of almost every page of the site. It will enable you to search any stories that are on the site or were there in the last two weeks, along with high school sports, entertainment, jobs, cars and shopping listings. For more information about using the site search tool, see Search Help.

What if I can’t find a page or feature on the site?

Your first step is to look for the subject in the main site menus or site map. Then, use the site search tool to look for it. You can access many pages by typing in a keyword. For example, if you type in Dining, the first result in your search will be our dining page. If you can’t find it there, then check out our “Where Is It?” FAQ, which explains how to locate some features that have moved to a new location with our recent redesign. If you still cannot find it, send a problem report to the site.

How often is the site updated?

The news areas of the site are updated continuously, including sports, business and entertainment. Some other features are updated less frequently.

What if I have a problem with something on the site?

Send a problem report to help@chron.com, and the appropriate person will review the issue and respond to you as quickly as possible.
