Small Ships

Because some of the world’s most beautiful waterways are also some of the most remote, we choose small, intimate ships that can navigate shorelines and narrow channels that larger ships cannot reach--whether it's a traditional junk on Vietnam's Ha Long Bay or a ice-class expedition ship in Antarctica. On our voyages operated in conjunction with Lindblad Expeditions, each ship carries motorized landing craft, kayaks, and snorkeling gear, and some also carry glass-bottomed boats.

Photography

For more than a century, people have thumbed through the pages of our magazines and felt inspired by some of the best photography in the world. Now we’d like to invite you to travel to incredible places with some of the best photographers in the world. Our Photography Expeditions are designed for photographers of all levels. You’ll learn tips and techniques while exploring fascinating places with one of our renowned photographers. Our Photography Workshops, also led by a top National Geographic photographer, cater to those who seek more intensive instruction, and build photo editing, instruction, and critique sessions as well as photo assignments into each day’s schedule.

Family

The world is brimming with astonishing sights and places. Experiencing them with your family is one of the greatest rewards of all. We’ve designed our family adventures to inspire travelers of all ages by organizing fun, hands-on, learning activities for kids and adults alike. Spark a passion for exploration in your children and create lasting memories for the whole family!

Rail Journeys

Traveling by train evokes a sense of nostalgia and adventure. With a National Geographic expert on board, the landscapes that you pass through take on a whole new depth and meaning. From the comfort of a private luxury train, cover vast distances with ease, visit remote towns and villages, and observe everyday life against an ever changing backdrop.

Land Journeys

On a National Geographic Expedition, we bring you to extraordinary places with the people who know them best. Whether you’re exploring an Inca temple alongside an archaeologist in Peru, on safari with a wildlife biologist in Tanzania, or peering at the Pyramids with a renowned Egyptologist, you’ll do more than see the world’s wonders—you’ll experience them.

Private Jet

On our expeditions by private jet, you'll travel to far-flung places in comfort and style. Our specially configured Boeing 757 with VIP seating affords us unmatched flexibility and is ideally suited for these extraordinary expeditions.

National Geographic Adventures

Grab your hiking boots and head into the wilderness with National Geographic! With our line of active Adventures, you’ll trek through some of the world’s most legendary mountain ranges; go kayaking amid icebergs and calving glaciers; and veer far off the beaten path, discovering wild landscapes on foot or by horseback. These unique, active itineraries combine spectacular places, cultural interaction, and physical challenge: the perfect mix for an unforgettable adventure.

Private Safaris

On a National Geographic Private Safari, bring your spouse, your family, or a few friends and choose what time of year you want to travel. We'll handle all the arrangements. Stay in incomparable properties—luxury safari camps that offer top amenities as well as local charm and character. Gain an insiders' perspective on some of the research and conservation programs that National Geographic and Great Plains Conservation are collaborating on in these regions.

Our expeditions are designed to reflect the broad range of our travelers' interests. Whether you're an amateur photographer looking to improve your skills, a classic train buff, or an avid hiker or kayaker, you'll find a National Geographic expedition suited to your passion.
