Declaration of Stage 3 Water Conservation Measures
Reduced water demand and a slight increase in supply has allowed the City to move from Stage 4 to Stage 3 water conservation measures. Cooler weather and dormant lawns have helped cut water demand in half. Summer time demand reached over 6 million gallons per day (mgd), and now has decreased to 3 mgd.

Tickets on Sale for Mardi Gras on Main
Kerrville Main Street announced that tickets are on now on sale for the 8th annual Mardi Gras on Main. The general admission tickets are $40. The VIP tickets are $75 and limited to 95 people. VIP admission includes early admittance at 5:00 p.m., preview party with food and wine, and a meet and greet with Bob Landon, owner and winemaker of Landon Winery, the winery responsible for creating the 2012 Mardi Gras on Main signature wine.

Downtown Plaza Plans Unveiled
The Cailloux Foundation gathered community leaders recently to unveil their plans for the site once home to the Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital. The 2 acre tract, located at the intersection of Sidney Baker and Main Streets, will become the home of Kerrville Peterson Plaza complete the Kerrville City Hall, clock tower and park. Construction of the clock tower and improvements to the crosswalk are scheduled to begin in early July. Construction of the City Hall and Peterson Plaza should begin early 2012.

Parks System Improvements
The Louise Hays and Lehmann-Monroe Parks Redevelopment project entails the redefining of the site to serve Kerrville as a regional destination for locals and visitors, not merely local park space. The scope of work includes the introduction of new elements that will attract park patrons to day-use areas, scheduled activities, and tie directly into, and complement, the Kerrville River Trail project which will weave through the park.
