Church asks for seven days of sex

(CNN) - Several years ago Texas preacher Ed Young called on married couples in his congregation to have sex everyday for a week. He documents this "sexperiment" in a new book he coauthored with his wife Lisa Young.

      Mohammed was an illiterate, womanizing, lust and greed-driven, warmongering, hallucinating Arab, who also had embellishing/hallucinating/plagiarizing scribal biographers who not only added "angels" and flying chariots to the koran but also a militaristic agenda to support the plundering and looting of the lands of non-believers.

      This agenda continues as shown by the ma-ssacre in Mumbai, the as-sas-sinations of Bhutto and Theo Van Gogh, the conduct of the seven Muslim doctors in the UK, the 9/11 terrorists, the 24/7 Sunni suicide/roadside/market/mosque bombers, the 24/7 Shiite suicide/roadside/market/mosque bombers, the Islamic bombers of the trains in the UK and Spain, the Bali crazies, the Kenya crazies, the Pakistani “koranics”, the Palestine suicide bombers/rocketeers, the Lebanese nutcases, the Taliban nut jobs, the Ft. Hood follower of the koran, and the Filipino “koranics”.

      And who funds this muck and stench of terror? The warmongering, Islamic, Shiite terror and torture theocracy of Iran aka the Third Axis of Evil and also the Sunni "Wannabees" of Saudi Arabia.

      Current crises:

      The global Sunni-Shiite blood feud and the warmongering, womanizing (11 wives), hallucinating founder.

    My family has visited Ed Youngs Baptist Church in NW Houston on numerous occations! Can't recall any sermon on a 7 day s.e.x. marathon! Must be some new religious s.e.x.periment! The article was extremely light, so it's hard to know why he & his wife are doing this! I'm actually glad to see a pastor even discuss the subject! Most Christians or realistically, any religious group, treat s.e.x. as a sin, if not an abomination! More info please!!

    Someone once said that it is better to have se.x one day a week for 7 hours than 7 days a week for one hour. In my experience this is true.

    This type of foolishness is more damaging to "the Christian church" than even the RC pedophile disgrace. This is not an example of "preach the gospel and baptize." Fundamentalist folk preachers make occasional headlines for "preaching" the end-of the world (May 2011), picketing funerals (Kansas church mob), burning books (Florida) - s.e.x.p.e.r.i.o.m.e.n.t. These folk preachers have convinced a congregation large enough to pay church expenses and a salary that their preaching is somehow Christian (so their entire mob has no idea what Jesus taught.) Another church (Amish) was recently "inves.t.i.g.ated by the FBI (???) for surrep.t.i.t.i.o.u.sly clipping beards (???). Whatever these churches might be they are NOT Christian. The Mennonite preacher posted an article bragging about how THEY were not Christian. These maverick churches are FREE to do whatever they choose in the context of their church, but they are NOT Christian. They are free to call themselves Christian. They are probably "ordained" by somebody's synod or franchise board and even defended by them - but they are NOT Christian. Incredibly there are more of these kinds of "churches" than there are Christian churches, i.e. TRUE doctrine churches. So these end the Christian church in the U.S. Sadly the Crystal Cathedral which was the exemplary work of Reverend Schuler (years of true faith) was destroyed by his own children (motivated by greed). True Christianity is rapidly disappearing all across the U.S.

      There have been few Christians since Christ.If you are really a Christian then you better read Mark 10:25 and Luke 18:25 and do what Jesus says you need to do to get into heaven – give away ALL of your riches and serve the poor. Until you are ready to do that my friends you are not really Christians and please stop telling me what God and Jesus want.

      Ummmm....the people who wrote about Jesus never knew him, so everything he supposedly said is hearsay at best.

      @Fladabosco

      The Evangelicals don't mention Jesus' advice to the rich or how we should treat the poor and the elderly (honor your father and your mother). They instead subscribe to the First Ep_istle of Paul to the Thessalonians. They have made a militant Jesus, who is just frothing at the mouth to come back and torture anyone who does not agree with the Christian Right fascists. If you don't follow Jesus can you still claim to be a Christian?

      Cheers!

      Why would I need to pray if the great omniscient God already know what I will ask for?

      @So many contradictions in religion

      You asked: "Why would I need to pray if the great omniscient God already know what I will ask for?"

      Actually the gospel says not to keep repeating a prayer.

      But when you pray, use not vain repet_itions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. – Mathew 6:7

      Be not you therefore like to them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him. – Mathew 6:8

      Atheism is not healthy for children and other living things is an idiot who does not know their bible. Or apparently, what Omniscient means.

      Cheers!

    I have needed viagra since I was young. All my life, really. I need to take double doses, and still I am a bit flaccid. That's why I bought my inflatible Stepford wife Lisa. Isn't she a doll? I mean, literally? She almost looks human . . . if you squint super extra hard.

    • If you believe, then you will find yourself saying things like "The Lord Moves in mysterious ways" to compensate for the absurdity of your beliefs

      I think they wrote the book to pay off all the plastic surgery she has had done. It must be a heck of a big bill.

      And the Lord sayeth, "After thou marriest a total goober who I already have smote fiercely with my ugly stick, make thy face look rubbery and phony, so that others might see thou and, pityingeth thou, buyest thine book."
