Knut Anders Hatlen
Knut Anders Hatlen is a software engineer working on Java DB and Apache Derby in Sun's Database Group in Trondheim, Norway. The main focus of his work has been on performance and scalability on multi-core systems, which has given him the opportunity to get his hands dirty in many different parts of Derby's source code.
Francois Orsini
Francois is a Senior Staff Engineer working in the DBTG at Sun Microsystems with 18 years experience in databases and infrastructure development. His expertise is in distributed data management systems, security, resource management, HA cluster solutions, and connectivity services. Francois spent 8 years at Sybase as a senior engineer working on the SQL Server core engine. He then worked at Cloudscape, Inc. as a technical lead, where he designed and implemented connectivity, security and middleware services for the Cloudscape Java database. Francois holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and Computer Science from the Paris Institute of Technology.
Lance Andersen
Lance is a senior staff engineer at Sun Microsystems, Inc. He is also the JDBC 4.0 specification lead as well as the J2EE technical lead for Java Partner Engineering . Prior to joining Sun in September 2000, Lance worked at Sybase as a senior manager and staff engineer within Product Support Engineering.
