Second Annual AGU 5k Fun Run
A large crowd of dedicated AGU members braved the chilly pre-dawn darkness and showed up for the 2011 5k Fun Run.
Some 500 runners pounded the pavement in a route that wound around the San Francisco Bay, a prime opportunity to see the sun rise over the city.
Their course took them around the San Francisco Bay, a prime opportunity to see the sun rise over the city, free from traffic and urban congestion. Starting out near AT&T Park, the runners passed through the University of California San Francisco Mission Bay campus and beyond.
