Some criminals are masterminds: they spend years and careers perfecting their craft, and they never get caught. These are the kinds of tales that Hollywood movies are made of.

Then there are just people who have a severe lapse in judgment and get in trouble with the law in a most inane fashion. These are the kinds of tales that PerpPlexity is made of.

It's not to say that these are bad people. Or even people we might not invite into our own home. But whatever compels them to take unscrupulous actions into landing on the wrong side of a police report is beyond us.
