About the Project

BAMONA aims to fill the needs of scientists and nature observers by bringing verified occurrence and life history data into one accessible location. Citizen scientists are invited to participate by submitting their photographs and observations.

This project has its roots in two sites developed by scientists at the USGS Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center from 1995-2005. Dedicated contributors compiled a vast data set that is invaluable to this current project, and their efforts are much appreciated. Learn more about the BAMONA project and its history.
