ASF Enterprise (ASF-E)

The Alaska Satellite Facility Enterprise (ASF-E) manages income and expenditures for activities within ASF that do not fall under grants and contracts, such as a RADARSAT-1 Network Ground Station, remote-sensing training, and the Americas ALOS Data Node .

Satellite Tracking Ground Station (STGS)

The STGS operated by ASF manages two antennas, a 10-meter system and an 11-meter system. Both antennas are capable of X-band and S-band downlink and, in addition, the 11-meter system provides support S-band command uplink. The STGS is part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Ground Network system.

GeoData Center (GDC)

The GDC provides data management and archive services for the Geophysical Institute and maintains a variety of geophysical data collections in support of scientific research. Maps and aerial photography focused on Alaska are also available.

Alaska Satellite Facility

The Alaska Satellite Facility (ASF) of the Geophysical Institute (GI) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, downlinks, archives, and distributes satellite-based data to scientific users around the world.

ASF's mission is to promote, facilitate, and participate in the advancement of remote sensing data.
