Rodeo royalty prepares to saddle up

A rowdy atmosphere has hit the Brush area as rodeo fever takes hold. As the city prepares for upcoming Fourth of July festivities, Brush Rodeo Association Chairman Steve Treadway, who can now boast of having 47 years of rodeo rearing under his belt, took time to introduce the 2012 Brush Rodeo Queen Rachael McCracken and her Lady-in-Waiting Elysa Mora.  Full Story

The City of Brush Recreation Department hosted a baseball extravaganza over the weekend as a total of 36 teams signed up for the annual Jeff Mickey Memorial Summer Sizzler tournament held at locations in both Brush and Fort Morgan, all to honor dearly departed coach, teacher, father, husband and all-around beloved Brush citizen Jeff Mickey who passed away suddenly in 2009 after an illness.   Full Story
