Townhall/HotAir is searching for an managing editor to direct the extraordinary web team at Townhall.com. Oversight responsibility will include the website editors at Townhall.com, a wild pack of interns, social media outreach, design input and quality assurance testing, editorial content acquisition and management as well as editorial guidance for the reporting staff. In addition to Townhall.com, oversight responsibility will include FreedomCards.com, our newest website offering conservative-theme ecards. Compensation consists of competitive salary and incentive bonuses plus complete health benefits and 401k. Townhall.com is a leader in conservative news and opinion with over two million readers each month reading more that 35 million page views worth of news, commentary, political analysis, cartoons and video.

Ideal candidates should have several years experience in online political publishing with experience managing content management teams, publishing political journalism and using social media in business and political communications.

Successful Advertising Sales Executives with our company succeed by:

• Motivating themselves through the day-to-day obstacles of a sales career
• Truly understanding a clients’ business model and how to be of value to that client
• Building long-terms relationships with clients while taking advantage of sudden and unique opportunities.
• Understanding that team-work can accomplish far more than any one individual can on their own
• Executing the mechanics of online advertising tactics like display advertising, text links, email marketing and video pre-roll.
• Leveraging Salesforce.com and assorted platforms for prospecting, lead-generation and reporting
• Selling across multiple platforms using their understanding of our products and the needs of the client.

Position is base salary plus commissions. Paid expenses and technology equipment provided. Some travel may be required.
