University Link is a 3.15 mile light rail extension that will run in twin-bored tunnels from Downtown Seattle north to the University of Washington, with stations at Capitol Hill and on the University of Washington campus near Husky Stadium.

Building high capacity transit south to Redondo/Star Lake
The South Corridor HCT project will extend Central Link light rail approximately 4.8 miles south from South 200th St. Station to Redondo/Star Lake with stations near Highline Community College and Redondo/Star Lake.

Extending transit from Northgate to Lynnwood
The North Corridor Transit Project will connect to and build on the Link light rail line which currently runs between downtown Seattle and SeaTac Airport. Central Link is being extended to Northgate via the University District.

Improving the ST Express bus system
Sound Transit is making it easier to ride ST Express buses by building park-and-ride lots, transit centers and high occupancy vehicle (HOV) access ramps. To support increasing service levels, the agency also will build new maintenance and operations facilities.

Sounder commuter rail station and service improvements
Sound Transit is building permanent Sounder commuter rail stations along the Everett-Lakewood corridor. To support increasing Sounder service levels, the agency will build a commuter rail yard and shop facility. Other improvements will include additional parking at many Sounder stations.

Improving rail tracks and signals
To allow for increased Sounder commuter rail service, Sound Transit is working on improvements to several sections of the rail line between Everett and Lakewood. The work includes new track and signal systems and street crossing improvements to bring tracks up to passenger rail safety standards.

STart public art program
Sound Transit dedicates a portion of project construction costs to art. Art within the regional transit system includes free-standing art, functional art and temporary art. STart works with local communities, design professionals and transit partners to select artists and artworks appropriate for each project.
