In his chat this morning, Tom Sietsema broke the news about TNT, a new bar coming from award-winning PX/Restaurant Eve mixologist Todd Thrasher. TNT, named for Thrasher’s young son Tristan Noah Thrasher, will accompany Eamonn’s: A Dublin Chipper on Columbia Pike in Arlington when it opens in March or April.

    In a year full of reflections on Nirvana upon the 20th anniversary of its landmark album "Nevermind," it's a bit staggering to think that Foo Fighters -- drummer Dave Grohl's post-Nirvana band -- have been one of rock's biggest bands for 15 years. As much as the spotlight bothered Kurt Cobain, Grohl is a natural frontman, writing arena-rock anthems and comfortably basking in the moment when fans sing along. At this point the band's concerts could play out like a best-of modern rock radio, but you can also expect many selections from new album "Wasting Light." Show up early for openers Social Distortion and the Joy Formidable.
