Aveda King, the Niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., Says Allegations Against Cain Are Not True

During Tuesday’s press conference, Republican candidate for president Herman Cain stated that whether or not more women come forward with sexual harassment allegations that are ‘not true,’ he will not let the accusations derail his campaign.

Attorney Joel Bennett: Cain Saying Accuser’s Claims Were Over “Height” Comment Are ‘Ridiculous,’ ‘No Rational Person Would File Over a Comment Like That’

At a press conference Tuesday morning, attorney Joel Bennett addressed his and Karen Kraushaar’s – his client’s – hopes to hold a joint press conference with all of the women who have leveled sexual harassment claims against Herman Cain.

Bennett said he plans to reach out later today to see which, if any, of the women would be willing to participate in a joint presser; they will then decide upon a time and location and give members of the media a 24-hour notice.

Judge Napolitano Weighs In on Implications After Appeals Court Upholds Health Care Overhaul Law

On Tuesday, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the Obama administration in a two-to-one decision that the individual mandate provision of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is constitutional. This provision would require everyone to have insurance by 2014 or else be forced to pay a penalty.

FULL TEXT: Penn State Head Coach Joe Paterno Issues Statement on His Retirement Following Child Sex Abuse Scandal

The head football coach at Penn State has officially announced his retirement, set to take place at the end of the current football season. Joe Paterno called the recent child sex abuse scandal and allegations against members of his coaching staff “a tragedy” and “one of the great sorrows” of his life.

Here’s the full statement:

“I am absolutely devastated by the developments in this case. I grieve for the children and their families, and I pray for their comfort and relief.

I have come to work every day for the last 61 years with one clear goal in mind: To serve the best interests of this university and the young men who have been entrusted to my care. I have the same goal today.

STOCK WATCH: Dow Slides as Italian Debt Worries Grow

NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks are falling sharply in early trading on growing concerns that Italy’s debt levels are unsustainable.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down 252 points, or 2.1 percent, to 11,918 five minutes after the market opened. The S&P 500 fell 29, or 2.3 percent, to 1,247. The Nasdaq lost 65, or 2.4 percent, to 2,662.

Jay Carney released the following statement from President Obama on Wednesday, after Ohio voters approved a ballot measure that overturns some new restrictions on collective bargaining by state employees — with Gov. John Kasich conceding it was “clear the people have spoken.”

Governor Bob McDonnell: It’s a Great Night for Republicans in Virginia

Virginia Governor, and Chairman of the Republican Governors Association, Bob McDonnell joined Bret Baier in an America’s Election Headquarters special Tuesday to weigh in on the elections.

McDonnell said that Republicans have picked up at least one seat in the state senate so far and six or seven seats in the Virginia House of Delegates. RNC Chair Reince Priebus on What Ohio Votes Mean for 2012

RNC Chair Reince Priebus joined On the Record Tuesday night to react to the votes in Ohio and what they mean for 2012. Tonight, Ohio voters rejected a law limiting the collective bargaining power of union employees and also approved a ballot measure intended to keep the government from requiring Ohioans to participate in any health care system.
