JSPS supports Frontiers of Science (FoS) symposiums for talented young researchers (up to 45 years of age) to engage in cross-disciplinary discussions on leading edge scientific topics. The symposiums aim to contribute to the development of new academic disciplines and the fostering of future generations of leaders. All participants will lodge together for three days and attend all of the sessions.
The format and implementation policy of these symposiums are determined by the JSPS FoS Symposium Advisory Board, chaired by Dr. Yoichiro Murakami, President, Toyo Eiwa University.
These FoS symposiums are currently being carried off in cooperation with the National Academy of Sciences in the US (JAFoS) , the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany (JGFoS) , Ministry of Higher Education and Research, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique: CNRS in France (JFFoS) and the Royal Society in UK (UK-Japan FoS). |
