Year Founded
1909The formation of the
Dallas Regional Chamber as it now exists occurred in 1909, when three groups — the
Commercial Club, the 150,000 Club and the Freight Bureau — merged with
the Board of Trade to form the original Dallas Chamber of Commerce.

The Dallas Regional Chamber is the area’s leading membership-driven
business organization committed to promoting economic prosperity by
leading economic development, driving improvements in public education,
influencing public policy, and catalyzing and advocating for regional
partnerships. The Chamber works to ensure that the Dallas region will
become the most economically prosperous region - and the most desirable
place to live and work - in the United States. The Chamber is a not for
profit organization comprised of businesses which represent all facets
of the North Texas business community.

The Regional Chamber:- Is guided by a comprehensive 5 year Strategic Plan titled Strategic Plan Blueprint
- Manages a wide variety of member engaging programs and activities

- Is driven by an 84-member Board of Directors and supported by committees made up of more than 500 volunteer leaders

The Dallas Regional Chamber announces implementation of the five-year Strategic Plan, Blueprint for Economic Prosperity, prepared over a six month period. The
DRC will realign resources to effectively lead economic development through collaboration, drive improvements in public education and advocate and catalyze for regional issues.
