Internships, Fellowships, and Scholarships

Attention students, teachers, Ph.D graduates, scientists, and engineers interested in clean energy: The Department of Energy, EERE, and other organizations offer a variety of internships, fellowships, and scholarships that you may be eligible for.

Check out the programs linked here – many of which provide real-world experience in a research, industry, or government environment.

Here you will find:

  • Internships in renewable energies such as solar and fuel cells, energy efficiency, atmospheric sciences, ecology, global carbon cycles, climatology, and more.
  • Fellowships at DOE facilities in a number of science and technology areas, as well as AAAS Fellowships, which provide the opportunity for scientists and engineers to learn about policy-making in energy efficiency and renewable energy while contributing their knowledge and analytical skills to the federal government.
  • Scholarships from various organizations and institutions such as the University of California, Davis.
