The Sigma Xi Fund

The Sigma Xi Fund is one of the most effective ways for our members to invest in the future of our Society and the global scientifc endeavor. Remember that almost all of Sigma Xi’s educational, program, and leadership development funding each year comes not from dues, but from charitable donations received from our members.

Your contribution to Sigma Xi is greatly appreciated and we would like to acknowledge your support of our mission. Unless you request that your donation be anonymous Sigma Xi will recognize all financial and in-kind donations and pledges-in-process on a quarterly basis on our Web site. The value of matching gifts from your employer will be added to your gift total once the match is received.

  • 125th ANNIVERSARY CIRCLE - $125 or more
In honor of Sigma Xi's 125th anniversary, the Society had created this timely donor club for the fiscal years 2011 and 2012. The 125th Anniversary Club acknowledges gifts of $125 or more with the donor receiving a lapel pin in the shape of the 125th anniversary logo. The pin honors the Society's past and reflects a promise for the Society's future.

  • COMPANION’S CLUB—$500-$9,999
The Companions Club is Sigma Xi's oldest donor recognition group, originally established in the 1990s. Companion's Club membership acknowledges gifts of $500-$9,999 with the donor receiving the unique gold "Companions Club" lapel pin. This pin continues to reflect the wearer's deep commitment to the Society's mission and our continuing gratitude for their support.

  • 125th LEGACY LEAGUE - $1000 or more
In honor of Sigma Xi's 125th anniversary, the Society created this special donor category for the fiscal years 2011 and 2012. The 125th Legacy Club acknowledges gifts of $1,000 or more with the newly published 125th History of Sigma Xi, as well as the 125th anniversary lapel pin. Written specifically for the members of the Legacy Club, the history book presents an overview with many photos and illustrations of the Society's heritage and the many members who have played important roles in its evolution.
