Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) Reports
The AEIS reports pull together a wide range of information
on the performance of students in each school and district
in Texas every year. Indicators include TAAS performance,
attendance rates, dropout rates, completion rates, and SAT/ACT
test results.
Actual Financial Data - Multi-year Table
This table provides financial statistics of actual expenditures
for all funds incurred for 2000-01 thru 2004-05. The
information contained on this table is the statewide
total expenditures, total operating expenditures, total
expenditures per pupil and total operating expenditures
per pupil. The actual financial report that is found
on the Standard Reports page has more financial information
along with individual district-level data.

(Texas Education Directory)
The Texas School Directory provided state-wide information
on the location of schools, the administrative personnel
employed, and various statistical data about each school
district.
Best Practices Clearinghouse
As established by House Bill 1, 79th Legislature (3rd Called session), TEA shall solicit and collect best practices from the Legislative Budget Board, centers for education research, and exemplary or recognized school districts, campuses, and charter schools.

Disciplinary Action Web Reporting System
The Disciplinary Data Products comprise reports and
downloadable files containing disciplinary information
at the state, region and district levels. This information
is extracted or calculated from the PEIMS database.
It is presented in Annual Summary Reports, and in Student
and Incident Counts. The Annual Summary Reports contain
information concerning the disciplinary actions taken
by school districts and the reasons for those actions.
As well, the Student and Incident Counts include reports
and files containing student counts and incidents counts
for disciplinary actions and disciplinary reasons.
Division
of Accountability Research
The Division of Accountability Research publishes annual
reports on secondary school completion and dropouts,
grade-level retention, college entrance examinations
(SAT and ACT), and Advanced Placement and International
Baccalaureate examinations, and a biennial report on
enrollment trends. The division also publishes the Comprehensive
Annual Report to the legislature on Texas public schools.
In addition, the division is responsible for governance
of data submissions to the Texas Education Agency.
Dropout
Report
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) prepares an annual
report on dropouts in Texas public schools. This report
includes state summaries of the annual dropout rate
used in the accountability system, along with state
attrition rates. It also includes a series of longitudinal
secondary school completion/student status rates.
InVEST (Vendor Evaluation & Selection Tool)
An Internet application designed to provide districts
with a manageable way to research different software
vendors and their products so that they can easily find
software that best meets their needs.
LONESTAR Website
The new LONESTAR website provides fast, easy access to Texas education data. LONESTAR displays data using charts and graphs at the state, region, and school district levels for the five most recent years. Reports include student enrollment, high school graduation, accountability ratings, Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) ratings, and listings of school districts within legislative districts. New reports on High School Completion and Dropouts are coming soon and more are planned.

Performance Reporting Division
Performance Reporting produces the Academic Excellence Indicator System
(AEIS) reports, which pull together a wide range of information on the
performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year.
These reports also provide extensive information on staff, finances, programs,
and demographics for each school and district. The information contained
in the AEIS is used to develop and implement the accountability system used
to rate Texas public schools and school districts. The Division also publishes
Snapshot, Pocket Edition, and the School Report Cards.
Public
Education Information Management System (PEIMS)
PEIMS encompasses all data requested and received by TEA about public
education, including student demographic and academic performance, personnel,
financial, and organizational information. PEIMS contains only the data
necessary for the legislature and the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to
perform their legally authorized functions in overseeing public education.
It does not contain any information relating to instructional method, except
as required by federal law.

Standard
Reports and Core Products
"Standard Reports" are created using the Public Education
Information Management System (PEIMS) data collected
from Texas public school districts and charter schools.
These reports include information about students and
staff data at the state, region, county and district
level for multiple years. Campus enrollment reports
are also available. Student data reports include enrollment,
graduate, and economically disadvantaged counts of students.
Staff data reports provide information on superintendent
salaries as well as full-time equivalent (FTE) and salary
reports for all professional and para-professional district
staff.
"Core Products" are likewise based upon data
in the PEIMS data base and provide information at the
state, region, county and district level. This information
covers graduates, students, and staff. It also includes
information on legislative districts with respect to
districts and campuses.
Student Assessment Division
The Student Assessment Division manages and oversees the development, administration, scoring and analysis of the statewide assessment program. The statewide assessment program includes the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), including TAKS (Accommodated), TAKS-Modified (TAKS-M), TAKS-Alternate (TAKS-Alt), the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS), and the Texas Assessment of Academic Skills (TAAS).

PK-16 Public Education Information Resource
This website is an integrated Texas public education
student and educator Pre-Kindergarten through College
resource. The website is a collaborative effort of the
Texas Education Agency, Texas Higher Education Coordinating
Board, and the State Board for Educator Certification.
Texas Education Research Centers (ERCs)
The Education Research Centers or ERCs were created in 2007 to conduct research for the benefit of education in Texas. A Joint Advisory Board oversees the operations of the ERCs and is responsible for reviewing and approving research conducted by the ERCs. Each ERC has access to a copy of the ERC data warehouse that contains a wealth of data from the Texas Education Agency and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
