The Annual Meeting is one of the most widely recognized pan-science events, with hundreds of networking opportunities and broad global media coverage. An exceptional array of speakers will gather at the 2012 AAAS Annual Meeting from 16-20 February in Vancouver, B.C.

The theme of “Flattening the World: Building the Global Knowledge Society” is intended to focus the program on the complex, interconnected challenges of the 21st century and on pathways to global solutions through international, multidisciplinary efforts.

  • 2011 AAAS Student Poster Competition Winners

    The students’ work in a variety of fields displayed originality and understanding that set them apart from their peers. First-place winners receive cash prizes thanks to the generous support of Subaru of America, Inc. The winners were featured in an ad in the 22 April issue of Science.

    The 2012 Poster Submission site opens on 12 July 2011. Winners in each category receive a cash award and framed certificate.

  • 2011 Annual Meeting News

    Thousands of scientists, engineers, policymakers, educators, and journalists from some 50 nations met in Washington, DC at the 177th AAAS Annual Meeting to explore a broad range of recent discoveries and looming global challenges. The AAAS Office of Public Programs provided news coverage, plus a sampling of Annual Meeting news from around the world.
