Hydraulic fracturing brochure for water well owners
A water-testing brochure for household water well owners living near oil and gas development and completion activities, including hydraulic fracturing, has been produced by the National Ground Water Association and the Ground Water Protection Council.
National Ground Water Research and Educational Foundation campaign to fund national, international projects
NGWREF has launched a major fund-raising campaign, the first in nearly 16 years, to underwrite national and international groundwater projects. President Steve Schneider, MGWC, stressed that 100 percent of funds raised will go to Foundation programs.
Alley to join National Ground Water Association staff
William M. Alley, Ph.D., has been named director of science and technology for NGWA. Alley recently retired after 18 years as chief of the Office of Groundwater at the U.S. Geological Survey and will assume his NGWA post November 13, 2012.

NGWA routinely posts calls for session proposals, abstracts, and papers for its conferences, as well as proposals for workshops, topical sessions, panel discussions, field trips, and the like for both the annual Groundwater Expo and the annual Ground Water Summit.
