Wyoming to Receive $17.5 Million to Support Education Jobs

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan today announced that Wyoming will receive $17.5 million to support education jobs.

"There is a huge sense of urgency to get these funds out the door," said Duncan. "These education dollars will help Wyoming keep teachers in the classroom working with our students this school year."

Wyoming to Receive $8.6 Million to Turn Around Its Persistently Lowest Achieving Schools

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan today announced that Wyoming will receive $8.6 million to turn around its persistently lowest achieving schools through the School Improvement Grants (SIG) program. These funds are part of the $3.5 billion that will be made available to states this spring from money set aside in the 2009 budget and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Wyoming to Receive More Than $22 Million in Additional Recovery Funds

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan today announced that an additional $22,314,665 is now available for Wyoming under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. To date, Wyoming has received $166,966,556 through the ARRA.

More Than $45 Million in Recovery Funds Now Available for Wyoming to Save Jobs and Drive Education Reform

U. S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan today announced that $45 million is now available for Wyoming under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. This funding will lay the foundation for a generation of education reform and help save hundreds of thousands of teaching jobs at risk of state and local budget cuts.
