Jose Rico, deputy director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, will highlight the issues behind Latino degree completion and discuss the Obama Administration's strategies to increase Latino students' access to a quality education during the El Valor Conference on Saturday, June 18 in Oak Lawn, Ill.

El Valor is a nonprofit, community-based organization founded in 1973 as a bilingual, bicultural rehabilitation center that reaches thousands of families in the Chicago area and millions throughout the nation. El Valor, which means "courage" in Spanish, supports and challenges urban families to achieve excellence and participate fully in community life.
