GPS Tracking

We've teamed with Garmin®, a leader in mobile location products, to provide a special GPS-equipped tracking device. The device connects to your pet's collar and is able to show the dog's location on a map by sending geographic coordinates. Owners can even create a "geofence" around their home, so if their pet leaves the area, they can be alerted within minutes via text or email. So no matter where he goes, you don't have to worry about losing your best friend.

Speech Translation Technology (STT)

We're developing technology to convert written or spoken words into pre-recorded spoken language. STT first decides how the text should be spoken, how each word is pronounced, and what length/pitch each individual sound in the speech should have. It then does its best to create matching audio. So whether you cannot speak, are visually impaired, or are trying to learn a new language, STT can open up a world of new possibilities.

Geo Games

Using location-based technology, we're making it possible for large groups of people to compete in augmented-reality video games. And because this technology functions from phone to phone, you don't have to worry about being in the range of a cell tower. Air Graffiti

Air Graffiti uses GPS technology and a location-based services platform, which allows users to virtually link messages to specific geographic coordinates. These messages can then be accessed when anyone with a capable wireless device enters that location. So if you happen to be wandering around Chinatown, Air Graffiti can let you know that your friend's favorite dumpling bar is right around the corner. When messages can hang out in thin air, the sky is truly the limit.

We're working with Vitality™ to turn the ordinary pill bottle into a wireless personal health device that can store and transmit medical data. With Vitality GlowCaps, the AT&T network relays adherence data based on the times a pill bottle is opened. Vitality can then send patients light, sound and phone reminders to ensure they never miss a dose. So now, following doctor's orders has never been easier.
