U.S. Education Secretary to Participate in Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Black History Month Forum on Meeting the Economic needs of the African American Community

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will participate in a Black History Month forum sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, on Capitol Hill. The topic of the forum is “Investing in Communities of Color.” Secretary Duncan’s panel will address meeting the economic needs of the African American Community.

Secretary Duncan to Address Education Panel at National Governors Association Winter Meeting

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will participate in the "Education, Early Childhood and Workforce Committee" panel at the National Governors Association's (NGA) Winter Meeting on Saturday, Feb. 26. Education Secretary Duncan and Labor Secretary Solis to Tour Training and Learning Center and Participate in Community College Summit

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis will participate in two events in Philadelphia on Monday, Feb. 28. Duncan and Solis will tour the 1199C Training and Upgrading Fund’s Learning Center, a joint labor-management partnership that provides job skills training in the health fields to over 2,000 adult students every year.
