Bird Impact Data and Consolidated Wildlife Reports

On this page, you will find detailed reports of the birds rescued and collected during the response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The information includes a breakdown of the species of birds that were impacted, as well as maps and the coordinates of where individual birds were collected.

The Bird Impact Data reports are based on a rigorous review by a team of Service biologists of the preliminary data released as part of the Consolidated Wildlife Table. That table, which includes impacted birds, turtles, mammals and reptiles, was last updated on April 20, 2011.

For more information on the bird collection reports, read our FAQ or the official news release from the Department of Interior.
