Jay Nixon this week sent letters to Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood in support of federal funding for two projects that would provide economic benefits to the St. Louis region and the state of Missouri. September 11, 2009 - Gov. Jay Nixon today sent a letter to Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood supporting the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant application of St. Charles County for matching funds to complete Missouri Route 364, the Page Avenue extension. The TIGER grants were authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, and the applications for the grants are due Sept. 15. Read more...
