Description:
Rehabilitate Taxiway [Rehabilitate Taxiway C West Portion. Replace with PCC, including lights and signage]


  • This grant will provide funding for the rehabilitation of parallel Taxiway C, which includes marking, lighting, and signage at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
  • The project consists of replacing asphalt pavement with concrete. The existing taxiway has extensive cracking and spalling due to extreme heat. This project is necessary to enhance the safety of aircraft operations and to extend the useful life of the pavement.
  • This grant is funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
  • This grant is being increased by $1,219,336, from $10,500,000 to $11,719,336. The increase is needed to make the project whole based on bids.
  • Phoenix Sky Harbor International is a large-hub primary airport located in Phoenix, Arizona. The point of contact for the airport is Mr. Danny Murphy, Aviation Director. Mr. Murphy can be reached at (602) 273-3316.
