Tropical Storm Arlene is expected to cross the eastern coast of Mexico on Thursday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. At 10 p.m., Tropical Storm Arlene was centered at latitude 21.5 north and longitude 96.1 west, about 90 miles east-northeast of Tuxpan, Mexico, and about 125 miles east-southeast of Tampico, Mexico. A judge in Shreveport has ordered the death penalty for a man convicted of killing a pregnant teenager. Twenty-year-old LaMondre Tucker was convicted in March of killing his 18-year-old ex-girlfriend, Tavia Sills.
