ACCESSIONS

Lao People’s Democratic Republic (1)

The Lao People's Democratic Republic's Working Party was established on 19 February 1998. The Memorandum on the Foreign Trade Regime was circulated in March 2001. Bilateral market access negotiations are underway on the basis of revised offers on goods and services. Multilateral work is proceeding on the basis of an Elements of a Draft Working Party Report, circulated in August 2010. The Working Party held its sixth meeting in September 2010 to continue the examination of Lao PDR's foreign trade regime.

Laos is officially the “Lao People’s Democratic Republic” or “Lao PDR”, but familiarly “Laos”.
