The wildfire threatening Los Alamos, N.M., has burned nearly 110 square miles, and crews have begun burning a 4-mile-long barrier to try to prevent the blaze from reaching the heart of the nation's premier nuclear laboratory and 10,000 drums of radioactive waste.
