Paw Nation

Allow us to get a little preachy for a minute here. There's a lesson to be learned from this video, in case your mother never taught you: being selfish doesn't pay. The two cats on either end of this haunch must have been absent on "sharing is caring" day at school, and their stubborn refusal to split their meat treat means that neither gets any. Instead, they're just making it really, really easy for that third cat to swoop in and help himself to a feast. In fact, they're making it so easy that you'd think they were holding it for him on purpose. (Only their frustrated growling suggests otherwise.) So not only will selfishness lead you nowhere, kids, it also leaves you prone to smarter people who will take advantage of your avarice. All the proof you need is right here on the screen.

Cat videos teaching us life lessons. Is there anything they can't do?

With so many puppy videos and so little time, we've gone the extra mile and begun cataloging some of the finest YouTube offerings, separating each collection by breed in a feature called Puppy Party!

Today's round-up features the noble Northern Inuit.

These two can't decide if they want to hug or bite each other's faces off. Typical siblings.

NBA star Carmelo Anthony would have us believe he owns a pet camel. The news came in the form of a tweet from Anthony on Monday. "Everybody got dogs and cats as pets, I got a camel!" Well, stranger things have happened, especially when it comes to the baller indulgences of the rich and famous. The photo linked to in the tweet would provide further evidence to Melo's announcement being valid, but then again, that could be anyone's camel. If his claim is true, there's no word on the animal's name. Our suggestion? Camel-o Anthony. Duh.

If a local-news reporter rescues a brood of ducklings stuck in a storm drain, is it news? Well, to us it certainly is, but we're Paw Nation. We're not as convinced that "Good Morning America" had to broadcast it to the whole country on network TV. Maybe it was a slow news day, but we have a sneaking suspicion that Josh Elliot's need to make a series of duck-related puns was a motivating factor in getting the piece aired in the first place. Not that we're looking down on Elliot; baby animals and puns are our bread and butter. Forget grumpy old George Stephanopoulos, Josh. Come hang out with us instead!
