Visual FX Artist Brad Kalinoski to Headline West Virginia Filmmakers Guild’s “Filmmakers Weekend”

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Filmmakers Guild is excited to announce its annual Filmmakers Weekend to be held in Sutton on June 3-4 at the Landmark Studio for the Arts. The mid-year meeting and workshops will be headlined by renowned digital intermediate and visual effects artist Brad Kalinoski. Last Mountain screens at Full Frame Film Fest

Bhopali – the best film on Bhopal to date

I have seen almost every film about the 1984 Bhopal Disaster, and even helped make one.(Granada TV from England shot a key scene in my Culture Center office, right after they flew from Bhopal to Institute. They used one of our film inspection machines to show the difference between the hand controls in India and the computerized controls here in Institute. Latter, someone discarded all of the WVLC copies of that film in the collection.)  I think that director Van Maximilian Carlson has done an outstanding job showing the ongoing tragedy that started in December 1984. “Bhopali” moved me to tears. Hawks Nest film in pre-production
