well spoken speech, I don't really agree with the other comments comparing obama to bush. Did Bush even have UN backing when he went into Iraq? what do you other people think of the UN? If the US didn't enforce these sanctions for human rights violations I suppose the UN's army will right? I completely on board with the idea that the US has special interest in Lybia but obama did mention something in his speech about picking our battles. I wouldn't say its so terrible and wrong from a moral standpoint that the US intervened. But, I was hoping obama wouldn't tip toe around the issue of not having sought congressional approval.

I watched this and the only thing running through my mind was, there is no difference between one president and the next. I will not be voting in the next election, regardless of who is running.

the closeup cutaways bother me. it suggests that there are forces outside of the President that want to emphasize a message. When I hear from the President, I want to hear from the President, not the President and a director. Yes, we do live in a time where people are accustomed to this specific editing tool, but it felt inappropriate for such an important topic. Whether you agree with what President Obama says or not. if this address was presented in a way devoid of television tricks, it would have communicated a more direct and serious tone.All I'm saying that when I want to hear something from the President of the United States, I don't want to be distracted by how he's framed in a shot. and how it subsequently affects what he's actually saying. If editing is necessary, I would rather be bothered by a sudden skip in the video. If that doesn't work, use something other than the close up; I felt mislead both times it happened.
