Celtics Can't Complete Late-Game Rally, Fall to Sixers
Rondo Shines in Loss
The Celtics fought back from a 16-point deficit to make it a four-point game early in the fourth, but the late surge wasn't enough close the gap and the they fell to the 76ers 106-100 Friday night in Boston. A shaky first half ultimately doomed the C's, but a well-played second half almost allowed Boston to pull out the win.
Rajon Rondo finished with 14 points and an almost-unbelievable 20 assists while committing just four turnovers. Paul Pierce led the Celtics in scoring with 24 points and Kevin Garnett recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
