Create movies from your photos

With Windows Live Movie Maker you can use the AutoMovie feature to create movies from your video clips and photos—including transitions, title pages, even your own soundtracks—in minutes. Here's how:

  • Open Movie Maker and, once it's open, on the Home tab, click Add videos and photos.
  • In the AutoMovie themes group, select the photos or videos and a theme.
  • If you want to add music, click Add music and navigate to the song you want.
  • It's easy to move content around; just drag it to wherever it should go. To delete content, right-click and select Remove or press the Delete key. To add more photos, click where you want to insert them, and then, on the Home tab, click Add videos and photos.
  • It's also easy to share your movie straight from Movie Maker. With just two clicks you can upload to sites like YouTube and Facebook, or to Windows Live SkyDrive. (For more information about SkyDrive, go to http://explore.live.com/windows-live-skydrive.)

  • Click File, Save & Send, and then Save to Web.

  • Select a folder on Windows Live SkyDrive, click Save As, type a name for your file, and then click Save— and your document is now saved on SkyDrive.
  • To open the file, go to http://www.office.live.com in your web browser, click the folder where you saved it, and then click the file name. The document opens in the Office Web App and you can work right from the web.
