New Analysis Estimates State-By-State Impact on Enrollment and Spending of Converting Medicaid to Block Grant Financing And Repealing The Health Reform Law
An analysis released by the Kaiser Family Foundation's Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured provides a state-by-state look at the estimated reductions in Medicaid enrollment and spending that would result if Medicaid is converted to a block grant and the planned expansion of the program under the health reform law is eliminated as called for under the House Budget Plan.
 
 
New Chartbook Provides Comprehensive Look At Women's Health Care in the U.S.
The new Women's Health Care Chartbook presents findings from a national survey of women ages 18 to 64 and provides a look at the experience of women in the health care system. The chartbook includes data on insurance coverage, affordability of and access to care, use of health care services, prevention, and family health.


 
 
April Health Tracking Poll Explores Public Opinion on Proposed Medicare Changes to Reduce the Budget Deficit
As Congress and the president debate different approaches to reducing the deficit, the April Kaiser Health Tracking Poll indicates that initial public reaction is fairly evenly split when a premium support/voucher program like the one in House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan’s “Path to Prosperity” proposal is described, but seniors prefer to keep the current Medicare system by a 2‐to‐1 margin. Meanwhile, public opinion on the health reform law remains remarkably steady.
