Apply to become an AAALAC ad hoc Consultant

AAALAC maintains a pool of more than 200 ad hoc Consultants and Specialists who assist members of the Council on Accreditation in evaluating animal care and use programs. To become an ad hoc Consultant/Specialist, you must submit an application, for review by the Council, using one of the formats below. Applications are due February 1 of each calendar year for consideration at the May business meeting of the Council on Accreditation. Letters providing notification of selection/non-selection of applicants are generally mailed within two weeks following the Council meeting. Typically, more applications are received than there are available ad hoc Consultant/Specialist positions. Therefore, the selection process is competitive. Questions regarding the role of ad hocs or the selection process may be directed to Dr. Bayne at kbayne@aaalac.org.
