Trade Advisory Committee on Africa (TACA)

OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES TRADE REPRESENTATIVE
CHARTER OF THE TRADE ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON AFRICA


The Committee shall be designated as the "Trade Advisory Committee on Africa."

The Committee's objectives and the scope of its activity are as follows:


The Committee will provide the U.S. Trade Representative with policy advice on issues involving trade and development in sub-Saharan Africa.

The Committee may establish such subcommittees of it members as may be necessary, subject to the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act and the approval of the U.S. Trade Representative, or his
or her designee.

The Committee will report to the U.S. Trade Representative, or his or her
designee.

The U.S. Trade Representative, or his or her designee, with the advice of the Chairman, will be responsible for prior approval of the agenda for all
Committee meetings.

The U.S. Trade Representative, or his designee, will have responsibility for determinations, filings, and other administrative requirements of the Federal
Advisory Committee Act.
