Civil Rights Data Collection
The Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) collects data on key education and civil
rights issues in our nation's public schools for use by the U.S. Department of Education's
Office for Civil Rights (OCR) and other Department of Education offices as well
as policymakers and researchers outside of the Department of Education. This data
collection provides information about students in public elementary and secondary
schools, including enrollment, access to educational programs or services, and academic
proficiency results, "disaggregated" or broken out, by factors including race, ethnicity,
sex, and disability.
To find particular schools or school districts, go to the
School Search or
District Search screens, fill out one or more of the form fields, and
press "Search".
To access information about the data collected, go to the
Downloads screen.
The U.S. Department of Education has modified or suppressed data reported on this
site to protect the privacy of students. The strategies used to protect privacy
vary and may include rounding or other techniques but do not substantially affect
the general usefulness of the data. Because of the privacy protections, numerical
and percentage totals may not add precisely to the sum of the row or column to which
the total refers.
