NOAA National Weather Service- Flood Inundation Map Libraries
Geography and Environment
flood mapping, flood inundation, flooding, fim, ...
National Weather Service (NWS) Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS) Flood Inundation Map (FIM) Libraries include maps ranging from minor flooding through major or record flooding, whichever is greater. At AHPS locations where the libraries have been implemented, Emergency Managers are able to see the spatial extent of flooding for various river stage levels, enhance coordination with NWS, and enable more informed decisions for flood preparedness, response, and mitigation. Flood maps depicting the spatial extent and depth of floodwaters, linked to National Weather Service (NWS) river forecasts and warnings, provide critical decision support information to FEMA regional Offices, emergency managers, and other local officials before and during a flood. These data can be used to support flood plain management, enhance Emergency Action Plans, and facilitate proactive efforts to preposition people and resources to save lives and property.

EPA Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO) Exporter Data
EPA Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO) Exporter Data
Geography and Environment
violations, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, ...
Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO) is designed to easily provide usable information about inspections, violations, and enforcement by utilizing interactive maps and enhanced trend data. ECHO advances public information by sharing data related to water, air, waste, and drinking water regulations and allows its users a variety of options to better understand the state of their local environment as well as national environmental impacts to public health. The web-based site features information on facilities that are violating the Clean Water Act with tools that compare water quality trends and generate interactive maps that link to detailed state dashboards. ECHO also provides easy access to information about violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act, showing the frequency of violations to drinking water across states, and offers a detailed list of the most serious violators in the nation. ECHO is searchable by location, and the public can also examine information on inspections conducted by both EPA and the state, violations and enforcement actions at facilities in their communities, and the penalties levied in response to violations related to the Clean Air Act and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. The ECHO Exporter provides monthly refreshes of downloadable, machine-readable data extracts.

Use the Environmental Dataset Gateway (EDG) to find and access EPA's environmental resources. Many options are available for easily reusing EDG content in other other applications. This allows individuals to provide direct access to EPA's metadata outside the EDG interface. The EDG REST Interface allows each users to query the catalog through a URL using REST syntax. Accessing individual metadata documents through their REST URLs, or groups of documents that match specific search criteria through a REST-formatted search URL, provides powerful functionality for searching, viewing, and sharing EDG records.

The WATERS Web and Database services provide open interfaces to complex analyses. These services make extensive use of the NHD and referenced program data in the RAD, and also integrate other WATERS program data. Designed as loosely coupled modular units, the services are developed in a common architecture. The Spatial Assignment Service is a support service allowing users to associate spatial information with reference layers stored in WATERS (Watershed Assessment, Tracking & Environmental ResultS). The intention of the service is not to report or analyze all interactions with the reference layer but rather to assign a single result. Provided parameters allow several means to resolve multiple matches including hinting via parameters, spatial analysis, distance analysis or simple arbitrary choice.

WATERS, Downstream, Watershed, SOAP, Web Services, ...
The WATERS Web and Database services provide open interfaces to complex analyses. These services make extensive use of the NHD and referenced program data in the RAD, and also integrate other WATERS program data. Designed as loosely coupled modular units, the services are developed in a common architecture. The Results Queue Service functions to allow other WATERS (Watershed Assessment, Tracking & Environmental ResultS) services to process results asynchronously. At the center of the service is queue which receives and retains for a limited time the direct results of other WATERS services. Then using a simple identification code, the user may subsequently query the Results Queue Service to either determine if processing is complete or fetch completed results.
