ERIN is a measure of the environmental and health risk presented by PBS facilities. It is designed to serve as a prima facie indicator of the overall environmental performance of each building. ERIN is not a comprehensive environmental compliance review, nor is it a measure of an asset's "greenness". Fourteen risk categories are addressed in the ERI. These are listed below in priority order:
