The Hill Exonerates Berkley, Slimes Heller

In a report detailing the news that Rep. Shelley Berkley violated House rules, albeit unintentionally, The Hill displayed its usual bias for Democrats and against Republicans. The House Ethics Committee asserted that Berkley and her husband benefited by her improper use of her office, but because the committee decided the actions were unintentional, she would not be punished. 22 Dec 2012

NBC Chicago Gives One-Sided Coverage Of Charter School Protests

On two recent occasions reporters from NBC 5 Chicago have seemingly aided the CTU in this process by refusing to expose their radical ties and report these activities as “parents and teachers,” despite the overwhelming majority of protesters being professional activists. On Wednesday, NBC showed up to cover another protest organized by these same groups, to the newly proposed charter schools. However NBC 5’s Christian Farr failed to show in his report, any of the parents who attended the school board meeting to voice support for charter schools. 22 Dec 2012

Flashback: Clinton Requests $60 Million to Put Cops in Schools

"Clinton also unveiled the $60-million fifth round of funding for 'COPS in School,' a Justice Department program that helps pay the costs of placing police officers in schools to help make them safer for students and teachers. The money will be used to provide 452 officers in schools in more than 220 communities." 21 Dec 2012

Poll: Majority Agree with NRA Plan to 'Increase Police Presence at Schools'

Lost in our objective, unbiased, and non-partisan media's zeal to mock the National Rifle Association's proposal to guard our public schools is the fact that, in a Gallup poll taken Wednesday, a majority of 53% of Americans expressed their support for doing exactly what the NRA's proposing: increasing police presence at schools. 21 Dec 2012

Politico Runs 'Hitler Photo' of NRA Chief

The above is the lead photo and story on Politico right now. Although there were dozens of cameras at today's press conference, in order to post their "Hitler pose," Politico had to grab a photo that wasn't even taken at today's event. 21 Dec 2012

Media Mocks NRA Plan to Guard Defenseless Schoolchildren

By mocking and dismissing the NRA's ideas even before the presser was over, the media's goal is to keep those ideas out of the national debate. The media's worried that if an attractive and common sense approach, like guarding our nation's 100,000 schools like we do banks and jewelry stores, takes hold, the head of public opinion steam Obama's ginning up to grab our guns will lose momentum. 21 Dec 2012

EXCLUSIVE -- Soros-Backed Attack Dog Expands War on Fox

To Gabriel Sherman, any little twig of news, or pseudo-news, can and must be used as a club to clobber Fox. It’s the same dismissal of the truth that got Jayson Blair into so much trouble. As the Fox source said, “Gabe Sherman is Jayson Blair on steroids.” That’s one tough assessment of Gabriel Sherman, the over-eager reporter and from-a-great-distance biographer of Roger Ailes. The well-placed source close to Fox News makes a very strong case. 21 Dec 2012

Rep. Tim Huelskamp: Poster Child for the GOP's Media Probem

Until Oklahoma's Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp or any Republican is made aware of and fully prepares for the facts listed above, every effort should be made to ensure that they are never-ever-ever-ever allowed anywhere near a microphone or television camera again. 21 Dec 2012

'WaPo' Rips O'Reilly Over Boycott 'Hypocrisy'

With so much bad media out there; so much bias, unprofessionalism, bad reporting, and bad behavior -- especially in the wake of Sandy Hook -- the Washington Post's media critic finds going after Bill O'Reilly on this issue a priority worth highlighting? 21 Dec 2012

Pew and Politico Try To Mislead On Guns

A new Pew Research Center Poll claims, according to Politico, that the gap between the number of American who favor gun control and those who are more bound to the 2nd amendment is the biggest since Barack Obama was inaugurated in 2009. 49% said gun control was their top priority while 42% say it was the 2nd amendment. 21 Dec 2012

Piers Morgan, the New Jerry Springer

After Wednesday night's CNN special, Guns in America, it has become clear that Piers Morgan is one thrown chair away from being the newest Jerry Springer. After he indulged his latest shoutfest and bout of name calling, Morgan has shown that he is no more serious as a commentator and interviewer than the syndicated tabloid talker. 21 Dec 2012

TIME Magazine Honors Andrew Breitbart in End of Year Issue

In the December 19th edition of TIME Magazine, Andrew Breitbart was honored in the publication's "Tribute to Those We Lost" for 2012. Andrew was a warrior, a new media pioneer, and a wonderful husband and father. He is terribly missed by all those here at Breitbart News. 20 Dec 2012

Shake-Up: Jake Tapper Leaves ABC News For CNN Anchor Spot

"Accomplished Washington journalist Jake Tapper, who has served the last four years as ABC’s senior White House correspondent and is a best-selling author, joins CNN as anchor of a new weekday program and CNN’s chief Washington correspondent, it was announced today by Ken Jautz, executive vice president of CNN/U.S." 20 Dec 2012

BenSmithing: Buzzfeed Disguises Subjective Fox News Attack as News

"MSNBC's back-to-back prime-time opinion shows, The Rachel Maddow Show and The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, topped both Fox News and CNN for the coveted 25–54 demographic during the week of Dec. 3. That gives Phil Griffin's network the number one ranking in the demo for four of the first five weeks since the presidential election." 20 Dec 2012

Howard Kurtz Worries Media Will Give up Anti-Gun Push

But this is how the media game is rigged... You have a left-wing media pushing left-wing politicians to pass gun control, and should that fail, as back-up you have left-wing media watchdogs pushing the left-wing media to push left-wing politicians to push for gun control. 20 Dec 2012

ABC's 'GMA' Bucks Gun Control Narrative, Examines School Security

It looks as though "Nightline" wasn't the only ABC News' outlet willing to bridle against the current gun control narrative playing out all across our media landscape. This morning, in a report by Alex Perez, "Good Morning America" opened with a terrific segment examining school security. 20 Dec 2012

ABC's 'Nightline' Airs Superb Segment on School Security

In a glaring exception to The Narrative, "Nightline" offered a sober, thoughtful examination of pro-active, common sense solutions that could be implemented almost immediately: Improved structural security, armed guards, and, yes, arming teachers who have already qualified for a concealed carry permit. 20 Dec 2012

Paging, Piers Morgan: Gun Violence Explodes In England

"The latest Government figures show that the total number of firearm offences in England and Wales has increased from 5,209 in 1998/99 to 9,865 last year - a rise of 89 per cent. In some parts of the country, the number of offences has increased more than five-fold. In eighteen police areas, gun crime at least doubled." 20 Dec 2012

CNN Poll: Republicans Too Extreme

Fifty-three percent of those surveyed say they view the policies of the GOP as too extreme, up 17 points from two years ago. Only 37% say they view the polices of the Democratic Party as too extreme. 20 Dec 2012

Media Flipped Debate from Stopping Mass-Shootings to Gun Control

At the exclusion of all other ideas, The Media Narrative is only about one thing, and that's gun control; restricting our Second Amendment civil rights and with that, our ability to protect ourselves from those who will flagrantly violate any new gun laws that might be passed. And that's fine, gun control should be one part of the discussion. No one's arguing with that. The problem is that the fascistic media is determined to smother all other ideas. 20 Dec 2012

Andrea Tantaros: America's Newest Talk Radio Host

Andrea Tantaros, co-host of Fox News Channel's top-rated show The Five, is pleased to announce the debut of her own radio show, The Andrea Tantaros Show, to be syndicated by Talk Radio Network (TRN). The program will premier on Wednesday, January 2 in the 9 to noon (EST) time slot. 20 Dec 2012

CNN Anchor on Newtown: 'Why Did God Do It?'

Trying to figure out how to deal with the massacre of children at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newton, Connecticut is no easy task. For reporters, "dealing" isn't supposed to be the goal, reporting is. But for CNN's Ashleigh Banfield, reporting is of less interest than placing blame even to the point of blaming God for the crime. 20 Dec 2012

Another NBC Reporter Refuses to Cover Chicago Teachers Union Ties to Socialist Orgs

At a Chicago Teachers Union protest in November, NBC Chicago’s Charlie Wojciechowski refused to cover Chicago Teachers Union members' connection to the International Socialist Organization and told me Breitbart News was “full of s**t,” after asking him if he would do so. Tuesday night, NBC Chicago’s Christian Farr followed suit by also refusing to cover those same ties displayed at a CTU protest he was covering. 19 Dec 2012

'Vultures': Newtown Residents Detail Media Harassment

"Unfortunately, the media will not be leaving soon, or respecting the privacy of the funeral home as a sacred place for people to say good-bye and support the families. As I drove down main street today I was upset at the number of cameras just aimed at the door to the funeral home." 19 Dec 2012

Report: ABC News Anchor Sam Donaldson Arrested For DUI

"Former ABC News political reporter Sam Donaldson was pulled over on Savannah Road by Lewes Police on December 1 for a traffic violation. An officer says that he’d been drinking. Donaldson failed field sobriety tests, and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol." 19 Dec 2012

Newtown Residents Complain of Media Showing Up at Funeral Homes

There's no question the media needs to be in Newtown covering this story, but as we've seen since the beginning, too many members of the media are crossing too many lines: interviewing children, interrupting worship services, and now we have complaints about the media showing up at funeral homes. 19 Dec 2012

Time's Person of Year: Barack Obama

"His presidency spells the end of the Reagan realignment that had defined American politics for 30 years. We are in the midst of historic cultural and demographic changes, and Obama is both the symbol and in some ways the architect of this new America." 19 Dec 2012

NYT: Tim Scott, Black Republicans 'Tokens'

Today, on the editorial pages on The New York Times, Professor Adolph L. Reed, Jr. was allowed to launch a racialist attack against Republican Rep. Tim Scott, the black Republican recently named as Jim DeMint's replacement in the U.S. Senate. Reed clearly wants to make the case that, because of his politics, Scott isn't black, nor is his appointment historic. 19 Dec 2012

Chris Matthews: 'Outlaw Semi-Automatic Weapons'

On the December 18 broadcast of his MSNBC show, Hardball, Chris Matthews gave us a perfect example of the outright ignorance about how firearms work that the left media exhibits on a daily basis. Matthews thought he had a brilliant point when he said we should "outlaw semi-automatic weapons." 19 Dec 2012

Report blames chaos, not cover-up, for BBC pedophilia scandal

An internal report into the BBC's handling of a pedophilia scandal surrounding one of its best-known children's presenters is blaming weak management for failing to get to grips with the story. But the review has absolved any BBC executives of trying to bury the potential embarrassing story, saying that confusion and poor leadership were to blame for the fact that a planned expose about the presenter, Jimmy Savile, was never aired. 19 Dec 2012

Does Promise of Media Coverage Encourage Mass Murder?

Literally, within seconds of the awful Sandy Hook Elementary shooting last Friday, the craven media was pushing an agenda blaming access to guns for this awful crime. Okay, then, if the media wants to open this door, let's talk about how the media offers major incentives to go on a killing spree. 19 Dec 2012

The Many Sandy Hook Mistakes of The New York Times

As we mentioned early on December 15, the Old Media have done a poor job relating the facts about the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newton, Connecticut. Finally, some four days after the crime occurred, The New York Times is issuing corrections on a multitude of garbled reports. 19 Dec 2012

Benghazi Report Proves Old Media Wrong; Validates New Media Reporting

In the aftermath of the Benghazi attack, Ambassador Susan Rice told multiple Sunday shows that the attack on Benghazi was "spontaneous" or a "response" to a protest held in Cairo over a youtube video no one had ever heard about until the President and Secretary Clinton blamed it multiple times after the attack. 19 Dec 2012

Left Media Falsely Accuses Fox News of Quashing Gun Control Debate

Members of the leftist media have been gleefully distributing the fib that Fox News has banned all talk about gun control from its airwaves in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook massacre. That falsehood is based on an email from executive producer for weekends David Clark, which stated, “It is too soon to talk the politics of gun control.” 18 Dec 2012

'Undocumented Americans' On Short List For Time's Person Of Year

The term "Undocumented American" is so insidiously deceitful in its not-so-subtle attempt to push a political position, it's almost admirable Time was so shameless in using it. Break the term down: Undocumented American. It conveys that the person described is an American, even if they hold a passport for Russia or China or Albania. It conveys that they are merely lacking a document. And, what is a "document" anyway? It could be a word processing document. Or a letter from the DMV. Just a bureaucratic missive, some technicality standing in the way of this American being considered just as fully American as you or I. 18 Dec 2012

NRA Releases Statement, Shows More Class than Media

Waiting to make a statement was both the humane thing for the NRA to do and the smart thing tactically. By waiting until today, the NRA now knows what the media's tactics are; and by waiting a few days after making this announcement to hold the actual presser, they will have an idea of how our unbiased, objective, open-minded, impartial, non-ideological media intends to absolutely crush and destroy them. 18 Dec 2012

CBS' Norah O'Donnell Mischaracterizes AR-15 as Automatic Weapon

"[The AR-15] is a very practical, well-made weapon. ...[and] it's easy to shoot." He went on to talk of his law enforcement experience with a variant of the AR-15 -- the MP4. But he never took time to differentiate between a civilian rifle (the AR-15) and its military and law enforcement counterpart (the MP4). 18 Dec 2012

Scarborough Calls for Restrictions on Guns and Speech

"We all must begin anew and demand that Washington’s old way of doing business is no longer acceptable. Entertainment moguls don’t have an absolute right to glorify murder while spreading mayhem in young minds across America. And our Bill of Rights does not guarantee gun manufacturers the absolute right to sell military-style, high-caliber, semi-automatic combat assault rifles with high-capacity magazines to whoever the hell they want." 18 Dec 2012

Charlie Rose, Norah O'Donnell Drop All Objectivity, Grill Rahm Emanuel

This morning on "CBS This Morning," left-wing co-hosts Charlie Rose and Norah O'Donnell dropped every posture of objectivity to bludgeon Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel for what they framed as the Obama Administration's gun control "cowardice" during the President's first term. It was a double-team grilling from two "journalists" who just seem tired of pretending to be impartial anymore. 18 Dec 2012

Media Ignore Equivalent of School Shootings per Month in Chicago

My guess is that the media's lack of interest in Chicago's ongoing murder spree has a lot to do with the lack of political upside in reporting on the story. Because what's happening in Chicago can't in any way be blamed on Republicans, conservative ideas, or a lack of left-wing ideas, the media would prefer to pretend the murders aren’t happening. 18 Dec 2012

NYT: Scalia Created Right to Bear Arms in 2008

As those who carry water for the gun-control crowd do so feverishly in the aftermath of the Connecticut shooting, the New York Times (NYT) is leading the pack by trying to convince students of American jurisprudence that the Supreme Court created a right to keep and bear arms out of mid-air in the 2008 DC vs. Heller ruling. 18 Dec 2012

CBS News' Scott Pelley Irresponsibly Casts Shadow of Suspicion over Autistic Americans

Scott Pelley used his important and influential position as anchor of the CBS Evening News to perpetuate a damaging and false link between the Connecticut school massacre and Autism. In an irresponsible and emotionally manipulative interview with family friends of Nancy Lanza, Pelley deliberately injected Asperger's Syndrome into the discussion and left his audience woefully uninformed about the nature, characteristics, and tendencies of the condition. 18 Dec 2012

Fact-Checking Kristof's Gun Control Strawmen

Nick Kristof published a call for gun control in the Saturday edition of the NY Times. While it's not the worst of the genre, it relies on some disingenuous argumentation to reach its conclusion. After his introduction, Kristof throws out a few chestnuts like this: "We even regulate toy guns, by requiring orange tips — but lawmakers don’t have the gumption to stand up to National Rifle Association extremists and regulate real guns as carefully as we do toys." Guns are far more heavily and seriously regulated than toys. Connecticut, where this latest shooting took place, had some of the most stringent laws in the country after California and New York. 18 Dec 2012

ABC, CBS Ignore Historic Appointment of Only African American Senator

On Monday, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley announced that she was appointing U.S. Congressman Tim Scott to the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Jim DeMint. When he is sworn in on January 3, Scott will be the lone African American of either party in the Senate but this historic news didn't seem to interest ABC or CBS as neither mentioned the news that night. 18 Dec 2012

NBC News Host, Analyst Lift NRA Attack Points From Media Matters

The attack on the National Rifle Association is fully engaged over at NBC News cable outlet MSNBC today. Host Martin Bashir hosted a slanted and hostile discussion that went beyond advocating for restrictions on the constitutional right to bear arms, it targeted and pummeled the NRA. Analyst Karen Finney, who recently blamed conservative politicians and talk radio hosts for the death of Trayvon Martin, called the NRA "shameful" and "cowards" for choosing to not make a political issue out of the tragic events in Newton, CT. Ms. Finney attacked them for choosing to show respect and public decorum by staying silent on political arguments while an appropriate grieving process can continue. In Ms. Finney's world, if the NRA doesn't fully engage in the kind of vitriolic, partisan shouting match over gun control that she clearly wants to have on the same day two bodies in the mass murder are laid to rest, then they must be "cowards." 17 Dec 2012

Chris Cuomo Stuns 'View': 'You Should Have Armed Security in Schools'

Though he's not dismissing the idea of gun control, ABC News's Chris Cuomo is someone in the media willing to look beyond gun control for other pro-active solutions to these mass shootings -- like posting armed guards at our schools and taking a look at the policies that make it so difficult to incarcerate the mentally ill. 17 Dec 2012

Radio Host on Tim Scott: 'Black Only in Skin Color'

Tim Scott has been appointed to fill the South Carolina Senate seat being vacated by the retiring Jim DeMint and immediately the racebaiters jumped in with both feet to attack him. One of the early hatemongers was Amos Brown, a host on a religious radio station in Indianapolis, Indiana. Brown used his Twitter account to claim that African American Tim Scott isn't really a black man. 17 Dec 2012

CNN's Banfield: Sandy Hook 'As Safe as Any School Can Be'

As CNN pulls out all the stops to push an agenda restricting our civil rights with respect to owning firearms, the ignorance on display at the cable network is almost as obnoxious as the bias. During the nine o'clock hour, CNN anchor Ashleigh Banfield actually said that the school where Friday's awful massacre took place was as "safe as any school across the country can be." 17 Dec 2012

Report: NBC Reporter Richard Engel Missing In Syria

"A Turkish reporter working for the NBC TV news network is said to have been missing in Syria since Wednesday, Turkish media reported on Monday. Turkey’s NTV news channel reported that Turkish correspondent for NBC, Aziz Akyavas, went missing in Syria and has not been reached for four days." 17 Dec 2012

CNN's Don Lemon: 'It Doesn't Matter if Gun Violence is Down'

Completely by accident, CNN "journalist" Don Lemon just let the left-wing media cat out of the bag during a ridiculous rant calling for the immediate restriction of our civil rights -- even though studies show gun violence has decreased since the easing of gun control laws. 17 Dec 2012

NBC News to Obama: How to Beat 2nd Amendment Advocates

"To pull this off in the gun area, the president is going to have to tackle every issue associated with these heinous crimes: gun laws, our gun culture, mental health, the de-sensitization of violence thanks to Hollywood and video game makers, and of course parental responsibility. If it’s a LARGER policy discussion, it’s much harder for the most ardent NRA-supporting lawmaker to walk away." 17 Dec 2012

NYT: Koch Brothers Paid Way for MI Right-to-Work Law

The right-to-work legislation passed by Michigan lawmakers and signed into law by Rep. Gov. Rick Snyder has been widely recognized as accomplishing one major thing -- it grants Michigan employees the ability to choose whether they do or don't want to join a union. 17 Dec 2012

Challenge to Gun Control Narrative Results In Soledad O'Brien Meltdown

CNN's Soledad O'Brien invited author and frequent Breitbart News contributor, John Lott, to come on her show this morning. It's pretty obvious that his recent appearances on other CNN shows, where he advocated for fewer gun control laws, had made her angry and that she saw this as an opportunity to take a whack at him. 17 Dec 2012

WaPo Editor, Historian: Obama School Shooting Speech His 'Gettysburg Address'

David Maraniss is an associate editor at the Washington Post and high-powered biographer. Below is a jaw-dropping look at Mr. Maraniss' seeming inability to put history into some kind of context when it comes to one of his own biographical subjects, President Obama: "People will long remember what Barack Obama said in Newtown...his Gettysburg address..." 17 Dec 2012

Media Dismisses Fact that Show of Force Stopped CT School Shooter

NBC's Pete Williams reports that the Connecticut elementary school shooter ended his rampage and killed himself upon the arrival of the police: "Only when he saw and heard the police running down the hall toward him did this end, when the police say he used one of the handguns to shoot himself; ending this killing spree." 17 Dec 2012

Schieffer: If CT Murderer 'Had Arab Name People Would Be Going Nuts'

On CBS News' "Face The Nation" anchor Bob Schieffer injected his opinion, and racial politics into the discussion about the Connecticut school massacre. "After 9/11 we turned this culture upside-down, we doubled our defense budget. If this person had had, I'm sorry to say this, but if he had an Arab name, people would be going nuts." 16 Dec 2012

MSNBC Panel Race Baits Connecticut Massacre

Leave it to the shamelessly craven NBC News cable outlet MSNBC to find a race-baiting angle on the Connecticut school massacre tragedy. On the Sunday morning edition of "Up" with Chris Hayes Salon.com columnist David Sirota claimed that the debate about how to respond to the mass shooting would be “much uglier” if the murderer had not been a white male. 16 Dec 2012

Media Mis-Information: Connecticut Murderer Did NOT Use Automatic Weapons

Reports indicate the Connecticut shooter had three firearms in his possession when he drove to the school on Friday -- a Glock 9mm, a Sig Sauer 9mm, and an AR-15 (reportedly a Bushmaster). That's two handguns (Glock and Sig Sauer) and one rifle (AR-15). These are semi-automatic weapons only, which is a fancy way of saying they fire one bullet every time you pull the trigger. NONE OF THEM ARE AUTOMATIC WEAPONS. This begs the question, why in the world did Rupert Murdoch send out a text hours after the shooting that read: "Terrible news today. When will politicians find the courage to ban automatic weapons?" 16 Dec 2012
