C-SPAN

C-SPAN

C-SPAN was created by America's cable companies in 1979 as a public service and programs three public affairs television networks (C-SPAN, C-SPAN2 and C-SPAN3); C-SPAN Radio, a Washington, D.C. public affairs FM radio station also distributed by XM Satellite Radio; and a video-rich website which hosts the C-SPAN Video Library. A private, non-profit company, C-SPAN’s operations are funded by fees paid by cable and satellite affiliates who carry C-SPAN programming – with no government money involved.

We hope you join us on foursquare to learn more about America’s political processes and institutions, both inside the Beltway and beyond. We’re using foursquare so you, and other interested Americans, can follow Washington, your way.

Other destinations for CSPAN include C-SPAN Official Website, C-SPAN Video Library, C-SPAN on Twitter, and C-SPAN on Facebook.
