As Newt throws his hat into the presidential ring, relive some of Newt's greatest moments from the last thirty years. Heck, forget the last thirty years. Even just the last three years is pretty spectacular.

Besides how he wins the nomination, one of the biggest challenges facing New Gingrich as he announces his presidential candidacy today is how or whether he's going to separate himself from Newt Inc., the far-ranging tangle of Newt book, movie, direct mail and Long Twilight Struggle against Islamofascism/American Exceptionalism self-help tutorials which have kept the cash pouring in for Newt for years. And it looks like he's not having an easy time of it. Just this morning, on the day of his presidential announcement, we got another email sent out to the Human Events email list with Newt hawking his latest books and his latest movie from 'Gingrich Productions.'
Here's our report on how Newt plans to keep the Newt Inc. money-machine rippin' and rollin' while running for the highest office in the land.

Democrats are licking their electoral chops, thinking they may be able to pick up a very Republican House seat in New York state. And it's bringing back memories of the 2009 special election where Dems managed to win a seat in NY-23 after a brutal slugfest between the moderate Republican, Dede Scozzafava, and Tea Partier, Doug Hoffman.
Now you've got a conventional Republican, a conventional Democrat and a Tea Partier who's run previously as both a Republican and a Democrat who's pulling about a quarter of the vote.
News came out earlier today that Kark Rove-backed American Crossroads was pouring $350,000 in ads for just this week -- with more probably to come. And now the DCCC is responding with a $250,000 media buy of their own.

Sen. Feinstein (D-CA) says she won't be relying on US intelligence officials alone in finding answers to what the Pakistani government may have known about bin Laden's whereabouts. She's tempering yesterday's remarks questioning the entire US relationship with Pakistan. But she plans on holding her own closed-door, classified hearings into the matter.
"I'm not questioning the aid. It's just if [bin Laden] lived there for five or six years, I don't understand them not knowing," she told TPM. "We all know what it's like to live in a neighborhood -- and that was a big compound in city that was also home to a military academy."

After a streak of days as good as Donald Trump has had over the last two weeks, you might think he was all but elected president already -- birth certificate flameout, WHCA thrashing, backlash from African-Americans and then the OBL raid. Alas, no. The Trump 'campaign' has officially imploded. The leader of the pack two weeks ago has dropped from first to fifth.
He's now tied with Ron Paul.
