Know Your Soils Condition
The most important thing you can do is have your soil tested by your local agricultural extension. Take a few 1 lb coffee can sized samples from different parts of your growing area and get into the soil at least down to 4 inches for a lawn or flower beds and 6 or more for trees and shrubs.
