Contract Oversight and Support Section (COS)

Our Mission

The mission of the Contract Oversight and Support Section is to develop, direct, and support exemplary agency-wide contract administration to provide quality services improving health and well-being in Texas.

The Contract Oversight and Support Section includes the Financial Technical Assistance Unit, the Financial Monitoring Unit and the Contract Administration & Quality Support Unit that:

• Provides technical assistance and support to contractors on matters pertaining to the financial administration of contracts;
• Performs financial compliance reviews of contractors through on-site and desk reviews; and
• Coordinates management of the contract life-cycle across divisions; provides oversight and training; develops and maintains agency-wide contracting policies and procedures; and facilitates communication on DSHS contracting issues.
